What is Google Adsense ?

Adsense is an ad-serving program run by Google. Website owners can enroll in this program to earn revenue from their website by displaying ads from Google Adsense. These ads are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-thousand-impressions basis.

Google utilizes its search technology to serve ads based on website content and the user's geographical location. The ads are so relevant to the content of the website, that the readers find them useful. It is this contextual/relevant advertising system that has made Google Adsense the most successful advertising program on the Internet.

Here are a few examples of "Relevant Ads" displayed by Google Adsense:

1) www.nameadog.com

This site is about naming and training dogs. It has some tips on naming dogs, some articles on dogs and some puppy photos. So basically it's all about dogs and the ads displayed on this site are also about dogs (mostly about naming dogs and training them).

2) www.battlediabetes.com

This is a blog on diabetes and it covers issues like "How to battle diabetes", "Diabetes and exercise", "Diabetes and Sex”, "Diabetes and Insurance" etc. If you see the adds on this site you will notice that all of them are related to diabetes (Control Diabetes, Info on Diabetes, Weight loss products etc)

>> The point I am trying to make is that Google Adsense displays ads that are relevant to the content of your site so they do not put off your readers; rather they find such ads useful.
