Adsense is an Ad Serving Program run by Google and it puts Advertisements on websites. WAIT ! Don't Panic. You don't have to be a webmaster, a web designer or know numerous programming languages to make money from Google Adsense ( I myself know none of these). If you can TYPE you can make money from Google Adsense. Off course it's not as simple as that, just getting a Google Adsense Account running and making a couple of cents every now and then is not a very fruitful goal. Anyone with an Adsense account would like to make as much money from it as possible( although few in number there are people who earn in millions from Adsense).
To make the maximum amount of money from Adsense one needs to have quality content on his website/blog and to have that one should have a decent amount of knowledge on the issue/topic that one is writing about.

What is Google Adsense ?

Google Adsense is an Advertising Program which places contextual( relevant to the content of your website) advertisements on your website. These ads are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-thousand-impressions basis. Which means Google Adsense pays you every time an Ad is clicked on your website or every thousand page-views of a page containing a block of Advertisement.

How Google Adsense works ?

Once you have made a website/blog (which can range from a single webpage to thousands of pages) you can register for a Google Adsense Account. Google Adsense then gives you a small piece of code, you have to put this code in you webpages/blog (very simple). Once you have put this code in your blog, Adsense starts displaying contextual Ads on your blog and you start making money from these ads. You can login in to your Adsense account at any time and monitor your growth and see how much money you are making.

Getting Started

Getting an Adsense Account is very simple. Here is a step by step guide :

1.Go to Blogger.com and register.
2. Make a Post about your chosen topic.
3. Click on Publish.
4. Go to Template click on Add a Page Element and add Adsense to your Blog.

I have described the easiest way to get an Adsense Account running. It's not compulsory to have a Blog (you can have a simple website instead of it) or use blogger.com for hosting. I expect the readers of this article to be complete newbies and hence I have described the easiest way of getting a Google Adsense account running.
