Skip Introduction : I have chatted with a lot of people about Blogs and how they can make money from them. And although the Internet is flooded with thousands of websites dealing with website revenue, google adsense tips, and guides and tutorials to make money from Blogs, most people that I have spoken to don’t know what a BLOG is. And if they do know what a Blog is, they most often do not know that they can make money from their Blogs. Here is a very simple guide explaining how one can make money from his/her blog.
Google is the biggest search engine on the Internet and since you are reading this, I am very sure that you must be familiar with Google.
When you use Google to search for something. Google searches the net and displays you the results. For example lets say we searched for the term "Security Camera" in Google. Google searches for this term on the Internet and displays the results (links and very short descriptions of pages dealing with the topic "Security Camera").
Now Google shows you the search results on the left hand side of the page. On the right hand side of the page there are "Advertisements" under the heading "Sponsored Links" (see the picture below).
These adds (lets call them Adsense Adds) are displayed by an Ad-serving program run by Google called Google Adsense and Google makes millions from these adds. Now the obvious question is :

Google displays these adds not only on it's own site but also on millions of other websites and Blogs (Adsense is the best Advertising Network on internet and most of the websites you visit, big or small display adds from Adsense).
The publishers/owners of these websites and Blogs receive payment from Google Adsense for displaying Google Adsense Adds on their sites. Google deducts a commission from their earnings before making the payment. This is how thousands of people have made and are making some serious money on the Internet.
