How to find the CPC of a Keyword

The best place to find the CPC of a keyword is Google itself. Google Adwords has a keyword tool called the “Sandbox”.

You can use this keyword tool to calculate the CPC of a keyword.
Sandbox can also be used to find a list of keywords similar to or related to a keyword of your choice. Not only that Sandbox also gives you the CPCs of each of these related keywords along with the keyword of your query.

For example when queried for the CPC of the keyword phrase “Google Adsense” the Google Adwords Keyword Tool gives a list of keywords/keyword phrases :
Google Adsense, adsence, Adsense program, Adsense software, Adsense tips, goggle Adsense, pay per click, adcents, adwords, Adsense help, what is Adsense, gogle adsene, Adsense blog…………………..a Total of 184 such keywords along with their respective CPCs.

How to create an URL Channel

1. Login into your Adsense Account.



2. Click on Adsense Setup.





3. Click on Channels (below Adsense Setup)





4. Click on URL channels





5. Click on Add new URL channels





6. Enter the URL of the site or page you want to track and click on Add Channels





7. Select the Checkbox in front of your URL channel and click on Activate Checked.

That is it, your URL channel is activated and from now on your Adsense Reports will show the details of the URL that you have added (page impressions, Clicks, Page CTR, eCPM and Earnings)

How to create a Custom Channel

1. Login into your Adsense Account.



2. Click on Adsense Setup.





3. Click on Channels (below Adsense Setup)





4. Click on Add new custom channels





5. Enter a name for your Channel, preferably in a certain format like: Blogname_Postion_AdFormat. eg : myBlog_top_leaderboard





6. Select the Checkbox in front of your Custom channel and in the dropdown box click on Activate Checked.







7. Click on Adsense Setup



8. Under Products choose Adsense for Content



9. Setup your Adsense Ads like you normally do



10. When you come to Choose Ad Channels click on Add for the channel you just created.







11. Paste this Adsense code in your template/web page

That is it, your Custom channel is activated and from now on your Adsense Reports will show the details for the channel that you have created (page impressions, Clicks, Page CTR, eCPM and Earnings)
